Dental Care for Children with Special Needs
Children with autism, Down syndrome and other special needs deserve compassionate, expert dental care. Here's our approach.

As Bangladesh's first super-specialised pediatric dental clinic, Healthy Smile is uniquely equipped to care for children with special needs — and to support the families who love them.
Why specialised care matters
Children with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, or sensory processing differences often experience a standard dental visit as overwhelming. Bright lights, unfamiliar sounds, and physical closeness can trigger real distress. Specialised care isn't a luxury — it's what makes treatment possible at all.
Our approach
- Dedicated appointment days (Monday & Thursday) with extra time, so no child is rushed.
- A calm, sensory-aware environment with reduced noise and gentle lighting.
- Conscious sedation or general anaesthesia when a child genuinely cannot tolerate routine care.
- Parents as partners — you know your child best, and we plan every visit with you.
Dignity and comfort come first. Treatment follows once your child feels safe.
Training that backs it up
Dr. Galib has completed special training in Thailand and India focused precisely on this area, including treatment under general anaesthesia. Every treatment plan is built around your child's individual needs, comfort, and dignity.
